HITEMCO BRINGS ANOTHER VACUUM FURNACE ON-LINE! We are proud to announce the arrival of our second Abar-Ipsen® vacuum furnace. This one's a big 53" 6-bar unit which will enable us to expand our heat treating and diffusion coating operations. Also, we can now offer the convenience of a one-stop-shop to our customers requiring heat treating or stress relieving before coating. Give us a call to discuss the options! (516) 752-7882
INCREASED
CAPACITY - FASTER TURN TIMES The installation and qualification of our 3rd Natural Gas Fired Pit Furnace, capable of performing Pack Cementation or Vapor Phase Aluminide (VPA) Coating, is now complete.
With three pit furnaces on-line we can process most of your parts within an attractive 1 or 2 day turn around! Hitemco does it again! R-512® RUNS HOTTER, LONGER: Our R-512® silicide coating now runs hotter, longer. We have increased the service temperature of this unique coating, allowing you to push performance. If you have refractory metal parts that need high temperature oxidation protection, call hitemco. HIRAMIC® THE NEW SOLUTION IN INDUSTRIAL DRYERS: Industrial laundry and process dryers often get clogged with plastic debris, closing the air holes and decreasing efficiency. Pure non-stick coatings helped the situation but, are not tough enough. Hiramic® offers both non-stick and toughness. Extensive field trials have proven Hiramics effectiveness. Call or e-mail for a brochure. HOT PULP? HIRAMIC® PREVENTS STICKING AND LASTS Hiramic® continues to perform in areas where other surfaces fail. Every day, hiramic is proving itself in hot environments where sticking combined with wear are problems. In one exciting application wood pulp is run at high speed over hiramic coated drying roll at an elevated temperature without sticking. Now other material offered non-stick with wear resistance. HITEMCO ADDS FINISHING TECHNOLOGY Hitemco Southwest greatly expanded in-house surface finishing capabilities. We added finishing machinery in order to achieve faster turnaround, more accurate scheduling, and increased process control performed in ISO certified plants. We can now offer flat grinding, cylindrical grinding, lapping and super finishing. TURN KEY We are committed to providing the best service possible and we are now successfully providing "turn key" components to committed customers where coated surfaces are involved. We have the part fabricated, coated, finished, tested, and delivered for you. One phone call! CONVEYING EQUIPMENT Hitemco Southwest continues to lead in the creating high performance non-stick surfaces for conveying equipment. Pans, chutes, spirals, continuous belts fabricated from metal have been coated in traditional non-stick and the new hiramic hybrids. Hitemco Southwest handles larger parts than anyone in the industry!
HIRAMIC® WORKING WHERE OTHER COATINGS FAIL "Hiramic® is a family of abrasion resistant release coatings and is a perfect example of what makes Hitemco unique," says Dana Barnard, President Hitemco Southwest. "We offer hundreds of different coating systems for one simple reason: there is no such thing as a "universal" coating. We start with the customers problem and work from there." "Hiramic® fits those applications where normal fluoropolymer coatings are not "tough" enough and inorganic coatings do not offer adequate "non-stick" or "anti friction" properties. The hiramic® family has been developed over many years in response to difficult problems brought to us by customers in the chemical, food processing, plastics, paper, medical, pharmaceutical, and petroleum industries. In many applications it is the only thing that our customer has found that works...in other cases, despite the higher initial application cost, the longer service life means that it is actually more economical than a pure fluoropolymer coating over the entire life cycle." There are now 30 different hiramic® systems designed to create very specific surface properties and the number continues to grow. In addition, Hitemco has the unique ability to apply hiramic® automatically to smaller parts in very high volumes, and on a custom basis on very large parts (maximum 60' long). To learn more about hiramic® search under Coating Processes on our web site (www.hitemco.com) or call any of our locations and ask our sales engineers about hiramic®. HIMED IS ON THE WEB! Hitemco Medical Applications, or HiMed, a subsidiary of Hitemco, now has a separate internet site on the World Wide Web. HiMed was formed in 1991 to manufacture and sell bioactive materials and coating services. Primary users of HiMed's materials and coating services are in the Dental, Medical and Scientific Research communities. HiMed has a wide variety of calcium based materials in a variety of forms including coating powders, abrasives, and solid shapes such as discs, blocks, and cylinders. Along with off-the shelf products, HiMed has the ability to custom design calcium materials for a wide variety of uses. Visit their web site at www.himed.com.
HITEMCO SOUTHWEST BRINGS HUGE CURING OVEN "ON-LINE" Hitemco Southwest has finished installation and testing of what is believed to be the largest, high temperature oven for curing fluoropolymers (HiMax, Hiramic, Dykor, Excalibur, Teflon, Teflon-S, Silverstone/Supra, Halar, Tefzel, PFA, PTFE, Xylan, etc.), and other high performance plastics. "While we are already the market leader in the application of fluoropolymer coatings on very large and heavy parts, we are very excited about this new oven as it significantly expands our current work envelope. As an added bonus, the extra capacity improves our production throughput and offers more flexibility in scheduling large parts," says Charlie Most, Senior Product Manager. At 60' in length and with a 15' by 15' cross section, significantly larger rolls, mandrels, vessels, tanks, columns, pipe and sheet can now be handled. Call 713-466-9655 for a technical consultation or navigate to our personal assistance page on our web site (www.hitemco.com). * HiMax, Hiramic are registered
